Reviews Are In See What Other's are saying about the Nether After.

I struggled with the genre (vocabulary, assumptions) but was very impressed with the creativity and imagination. The main character (Faust) is intriguing and vivid.

This book has a lot of action but it equally has a lot of social, political and philosophical issues embedded in the story that I wasn’t quite expecting. I can’t go into that too much without spoiling some major plot points. The Nether After is a lot of deeper than fifteen year old kid flinging spells at ghosts and monsters. In this story the reader takes on the roll of Faust. A fifteen year old necromancer living in a broken home. Faust mother has been hauled off in the middle of the night by the secret police known as the Leiche Guard, and his family seems to be frozen in a state where they can’t move on. The protagonist Faust hasn’t accepted his mothers disappearance so he starts searching for her in the netherworld filled with ss style police, xenophobic aeronauts, and all sorts of man eating monsters.
